Uiwang Ureongaksi Rice(Ureong Rice)

'Ureong Rice', which was first stated as a name of " Ori Rice" in 1994 in Chopyeong-dong, Uiwang City, was produced from 1995, started from 0.3 ha as a trial cultivation growing to 10 ha. Urung Rice is low polluting rice cultivated in an environment-friendly way without the use of weed killers or agricultural chemicals. To cultivate best quality Ureong Rice, mud snails are introduced into the rice fields, utilizing the natural habits of mud snails for their weeding effect, and Ureong Rice has since acquired an organic quality certification since this area is seen as a place where organic agricultural methods such as releasing mud snails twice a year and catching locusts are practiced . 13 houses are now cooperating to produce Urung rice as a brand. Ureong Rice is sold in a grocery store chain of the Agricultural Cooperative Association within the city in packages of 4kg, 8kg, 10kg.

Cheonggye Mountain Honey

15 beekeeping farmhouses in Uiwang City formed Cheonggye Mountain Honey Research Institute in 2000 to produce about 20 tons of honey as a cooperative brand of Cheonggye Mountain Honey, and it has become a local speciality. Cheonggye Mountain honey is outstanding in aroma and taste, because, it is a pure honey from Cheonggye and Baekwoon Mountain which have an abundance of flower sources for honey. Cheonggye Mountain Honey is currently sold in regular packages of 0.6 kg and 2.4 kg.

Uiwang Mushroom

The Uiwang mushroom is grown in a clean environment at a state of the art facility with minimal contribution to pollution. It is a high quality, healthy food that boasts a light taste and unique flavor. 20 farmhouses currently produce various mushrooms like Pleurotus ostreatus and Lentinus edodes.

Woram Leek

One can see leek fields throughtout Woram-dong, the area around Wangsong Lake; in fact Woram-dong is famous for its leek production. In 짹므-dong, leeks are cultivated by 37 farmhouses on an aggregate area of about 3 hectares. Our local variety is shipped as "Woram-leek" in boxes of 300 grams or 4 kilograms. Leeks contain large amounts of vitamin A and C, iron, and calcium, and greatly improves blood circulation and tonic efficacy.

Uiwang Clean Vegetables

Uiwang Clean Vegetables are produced in high tech growing facilities without the use of chemical fertilizers or other agricultural chemicals. About 20 farmhouses in Hagui-dong, Wanggok-dong, Chopyeong-dong are currently producing fresh vegetables year around such as lettuce, chicory, greens for rice wraps, sprouts, herbs and tomatos
